Learn, through focused educational tastings, what makes these loose leaf teas so superior to generic tea. Each seminar will concentrate on a specific growing area and/or style of tea. Participants will learn a bit of history behind the regional teas highlighted in each seminar, the processing methods used to achieve each type of tea and how each process affects the dry leaf shape, aroma and color with that of brewed leaf in each flight of teas tasted. Tea, as an ingredient in recipes, will also be discussed.
Scheduled classes are held at various locations in Great Falls, Virginia, including a demonstration kitchen, the historic Forestville Schoolhouse (next to the Grange) and Colvin Run Mill. Or you can create a customized class with choice of time and location.
